Your 12-word phrase gets rejected
One misread word or a swapped order is enough to fail the checksum on Jaxx’s standard BIP39 phrase. That leaves a small search space for our software, and small search spaces are often solvable.
Your phrase is missing words
Up to 4 missing words out of 12 is frequently recoverable with GPU-based tools that test hundreds of thousands of combinations per second. The checksum built into the phrase format narrows the work further.
A new wallet shows a zero balance after import
Jaxx derived addresses its own way for some coins, so other wallets scan paths where your funds never lived. We check the paths they skip; these cases are more winnable than they look.
You forgot your Jaxx security password
Desktop installs left encrypted wallet data in the application folder, and it usually survived the 2023 shutdown. Working only on a copy, the password can in many cases be recovered by systematic testing, so stop using that computer now.
You still have old Jaxx files or a device backup
Exported files or a backup of the machine Jaxx ran on frequently hold enough material to rebuild access.

How the recovery process works
1. Initial contact
Contact us with a general description of your Jaxx or Jaxx Liberty access problem.
2. Free assessment
We assess whether recovery appears technically feasible and explain the likely approach, timeframe, prospects and fees. If recovery is not realistic, we will say so clearly.
3. Agreement and verification
Before any work begins, we confirm the scope, complete the required identity and ownership checks, and sign a formal agreement. An NDA is available where appropriate.
4. Recovering your Jaxx Wallet
Depending on the case, recovery may involve an old device, legacy wallet data or remaining backup information. The work can be carried out on-site, at our office or remotely through a secure, guided process.
5. Handover
Once access has been restored, you verify the wallet and transfer the funds yourself to a new wallet under your control. The agreed fee is settled during the handover.

Jaxx Liberty is shut down. Is my crypto gone?
No. Your funds live on the blockchain, not in the app. Jaxx was retired on March 27, 2023, which removed your access route, not your ownership. With your 12-word phrase, a valid reconstruction of it, or recoverable app data from your old device, access can often be restored.
I imported my 12 words into another wallet and the balance shows zero. Are my coins lost?
Probably not. Jaxx used derivation paths that some wallets don’t scan by default, so the new wallet is looking at empty addresses while your funded ones sit one path over. This is one of the most common Jaxx cases we see, and one of the most fixable.
I forgot my Jaxx security password. Can you help?
Often, yes, if the Jaxx app data is still on the device it ran on. The password can frequently be recovered by testing combinations systematically, which unlocks the stored keys. Without the app data and without the phrase, a password alone recovers nothing.
I only remember part of my backup phrase. Is that enough?

How long does it take to recover a Jaxx Liberty Wallet?
Simple cases, such as a single wrong word, often take a few days. Password recovery from app data can run several weeks or longer depending on password complexity. You get a realistic estimate after the free assessment, not a promise we can’t keep.
My crypto was stolen through a fake Jaxx site. Can you get it back?
No. We don’t work on theft or fraud cases, and blockchain transactions are irreversible, so be wary of anyone who claims they can. Our work is technical access reconstruction for people who still own their funds but can’t reach them.
