What our service can help with

Crypto Recovers has been performing recoveries since 2019: 200+ wallets recovered, from early Bitcoin Core files to modern hardware wallets, for clients across Europe and America. We work from Amsterdam.

Forgot your Crypto wallet password?

GPU-based software tests hundreds of thousands of combinations per second, built around whatever you still remember. Even “it started with my dog’s name and ended in numbers” shrinks billions of possibilities to a workable set.

Old wallet or failing drive?

MultiBit, Jaxx Liberty, and early Bitcoin Core no longer run on modern systems, but the wallet files still contain your keys. We work only with copies; your original stays untouched. If the drive is failing, stop using it now. Every extra hour of use narrows what can still be read.

Seed phrase invalid or incomplete?

A rejected phrase is usually closer to working than people expect: one word copied down wrong, or two swapped so the checksum breaks. Up to 4 missing words can often be reconstructed by testing candidates against the wordlist. In the meantime, never enter your seed phrase into any website.

Why Crypto Recovers

Our team combines IT, cybersecurity, and deep knowledge of how crypto wallets store keys and encrypt data. That’s what recovery actually takes: knowing the file formats, the encryption, and the ways access gets lost, then working back to it.

We never take custody of your wallet — You remain in control of your own funds at all times.

When we cannot help you

No scam tracing from us, no stolen crypto recovery. Blockchain transactions are irreversible, and any service claiming to reverse them is describing something that cannot be done. A completely lost seed phrase with no other wallet material can’t be recovered either, by us or by anyone.

How the recovery process works

1. Schedule an intake
Choose a suitable time for a confidential introductory call, either remotely or at our office.

2. Initial assessment
During the intake, we discuss the situation at a high level and determine which next steps may be appropriate. Sensitive wallet information does not need to be shared at this stage.

3. Agreement and verification
Before recovery work begins, we agree on the scope, fee and security arrangements in writing. An NDA can be signed before any sensitive information is shared. Identity and ownership verification may also be required.

4. Technical recovery
Once the agreed process is in place, we carry out the relevant technical recovery work. Depending on the case, this may involve offline password testing, analysis of encrypted or damaged wallet data, recovery-phrase correction or investigation of legacy wallet formats.

5. Client-controlled handover
Crypto Recovers does not take custody of your cryptocurrency. After a successful recovery, access is handed back through the agreed secure process. You remain in control and transfer any funds yourself. The recovery fee is paid separately in accordance with the service agreement.

Frequently Asked Questions - Wallet Recovery

Can an old crypto wallet be recovered?

Often, yes. An old wallet is really just a file holding your keys, and even if the original software is long gone or won’t run anymore, that file can usually still be worked with. Old formats like MultiBit and early Bitcoin Core are some of the most common cases we see. Whether recovery is realistic depends on the situation, so the best first step is to get in touch and describe what happened.

How long does a wallet recovery take?

Simple cases take a few days. Complex ones, such as long passwords with little memory to work from or damaged drives, can run several weeks or longer. You’ll get a realistic estimate after the free assessment, not a promise we can’t keep.

What does wallet recovery cost?

Nothing unless it works. We charge 20% of the recovered amount on a No Cure No Pay basis, negotiable for larger wallets, with no upfront fees and a free assessment. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.

I lost my crypto, what can I do?

First question: was it stolen, or are you just locked out?

If someone scammed it out of you or moved it from your wallet, no recovery service can get it back. Blockchain transactions are final, and anyone who says they’ll trace and return stolen crypto is lying to you. That’s a police and lawyer situation, not a technical one.

If you still own it but can’t get in, whether that’s a forgotten password, an invalid seed phrase, a broken wallet file, or an old wallet that won’t open, that’s our side. Whether we can help depends on what you’ve still got, so just tell us what happened and we’ll be straight with you.
