A forgotten wallet password or PIN

You still have the encrypted material (a Toast Wallet backup, a Rippex file, an encrypted export) but not the password protecting it. With the file present, systematic password recovery is often possible, and your memory of how you usually build passwords narrows the work considerably.

A partial or damaged secret key

You wrote the secret key down years ago and part of it is now missing, smudged, or ambiguous (was that a 1 or an l?). When enough characters survive, reconstruction can be viable, and the key’s structure lets us confirm a correct result beyond doubt.

A deleted wallet or broken device

The wallet app was on a phone that broke or a computer you stopped using. If the device or its storage still exists, the wallet data can frequently be extracted or undeleted. Leave the device untouched until it’s been looked at; continued use is what destroys recoverable data.

A discontinued XRP wallet

This is the most XRP-specific category we see. Toast Wallet shut down, Rippex shut down, and Ripple Trade closed all the way back in 2016 with accounts migrating to Gatehub. Discontinued apps don’t erase ledger balances. If you hold any material from those wallets, the XRP itself is typically still sitting at your address.

An incomplete recovery phrase

Newer XRP wallets use standard word-based recovery phrases. If yours is missing words or gets rejected, recovering up to 4 missing words is workable in many cases.

Why bring your XRP case to us

We’ve recovered access to more than 200 wallets since 2019, including XRP cases from the early ecosystem: the discontinued Toast Wallet, Rippex backups, and raw XRP secrets from the paper wallet era.

We are a registered Dutch company based in Amsterdam, and we work transparently. Every case begins with a free assessment and a signed agreement, so the terms are clear before any work starts.

The recovery and handover can take place in person or entirely remotely, whichever you prefer. After a successful recovery, you transfer your XRP to a new wallet yourself; at no point do we take control of your funds.

When we cannot help you

  • Scammed or stolen XRP. The XRP community is targeted by fake giveaways, fake support agents, and fake “recovery experts” more than almost any other. A confirmed transaction on the XRP Ledger cannot be reversed, by us or anyone. We don’t trace scams or pursue stolen funds, and we’d urge you to distrust anyone who says they can.
  • A fully lost secret key with nothing else. No file, no phrase, no key, no device means nothing to reconstruct from. We’ll give you that answer in one email, for free, instead of selling you false hope.
  • Destination tag and wrong-address mistakes. XRP sent to an exchange without the right destination tag is a matter for that exchange’s support team, and they resolve these regularly. Sent to a stranger’s address, it’s unrecoverable.

XRP wallets we work with

  • Ledger and Trezor: hardware wallets and their recovery phrases
  • Jaxx Liberty: discontinued in 2023, still recoverable with the right material
  • Blockchain.com: web wallet backups
  • Toast Wallet, Rippex, Gatehub, Exodus: backup files, recovery words and secret keys from the older XRP ecosystem
