How much does recovery cost?
No recovery, no fee. Our standard fee is 20% of the recovered amount, reduced for larger recoveries. The fee is agreed and contracted before any work starts, and becomes payable only once access has been restored. There are no upfront charges and no hourly rates. You pay us directly at the handover; we never deduct the fee from the recovered assets. See full pricing.
How long does recovery take?
It depends on what we are working with. Simple cases are often resolved in a few days. Complex passwords or partial seed phrases take weeks, and occasionally months, because the work involves testing very large numbers of combinations systematically. You receive a realistic estimate after the free assessment, before any work begins.
What cryptocurrencies can you recover?
Recovery happens at the wallet level, not the coin level, so the currency itself rarely matters — Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, XRP and most others. Whether we can help depends on the wallet type and the material you still hold.
I restored my wallet but the balance shows zero — are my assets gone?
Usually not. A zero balance after a clean restore normally means one of two things: the wallet is looking at the wrong addresses (a derivation-path or address-type mismatch), or the phrase you restored is not the one that held the assets. Check one of your old receiving addresses on a blockchain explorer. If the balance appears there, the assets are untouched and the problem is a settings issue we can usually resolve.
Can you recover a wallet if I only have the address or public key?
No. A public address shows anyone the balance, but recovery requires the private key, the seed phrase, or the password to an encrypted wallet file. Without one of those and without a backup, the wallet cannot be recovered — not by us, and not by anyone else.
Is it too late if my wallet has been locked for years, or the software is deprecated?
Age alone does not rule out a case. Assets remain on the blockchain regardless of how long the wallet has been inaccessible, and discontinued software — MultiBit, Jaxx, old Bitcoin Core— does not change that. What matters is whether you still hold the wallet file, the key, or enough of the seed phrase.
Can you recover crypto that was stolen or lost to a scam?
No, and we would treat any firm that claims otherwise with caution. Once crypto has been sent to a scammer it sits in a wallet under their control, and no one can reverse a blockchain transaction or “hack it back.” Services that promise to recover scammed funds are, in most cases, scams themselves, targeting the same victims a second time. If you have been scammed, report it to the police and to your national fraud authority.
Can you recover my wallet if I’ve lost my seed phrase completely?
If the phrase is entirely gone and there is no wallet file, key, or backup anywhere, then no. That case is unrecoverable by anyone, and we will tell you so rather than accept the work. If you are missing up to four words, have the words in the wrong order, or the phrase is rejected as invalid, recovery is often possible.
How can I trust you?
We never ask for payment upfront, never hold your assets, and never promise a guaranteed result.
At the handover you create the new wallet and you make the transfer yourself. The assets move directly from your old wallet to your new one, and you settle our fee in the same session, with both parties present. At no point do we hold or move them — not the assets, not our own fee.

What happens after I contact Crypto Recovers?
You receive a free assessment and an honest view of your chances and next steps. Before we accept a case, we verify your identity and your proof of ownership through risk-based KYC and AML checks. If you decide to proceed, we sign a contract, and work begins only after that. All recovery work is carried out on air-gapped machines that are never connected to the internet.
