Quick answers
What backs up a Phantom wallet?
A recovery phrase backs up the accounts derived from it: Phantom generates 12 words and accepts compatible 24-word phrases. Wallets created with Google or Apple can also be restored with the original account and, if requested, the four-digit PIN. Imported keys and connected hardware wallets have separate recovery routes.
Can Solana accounts be restored on other wallets?
Phantom is not required, but another wallet must support the same phrase format, derivation path and account handling. Verify the derived address against a known public wallet address before using it.
Why are some tokens missing after restore?
Re-add the tokens and check the network; assets live on the same addresses and show once displayed.
Our Phantom recovery services
Invalid or incomplete recovery phrase
A misspelled, missing or misplaced word triggers errors such as "Invalid secret recovery phrase". When words are missing or unreadable and no other route restores the account, the surviving words can support a constrained BIP-39 search. We reconstruct phrases with up to four missing words; feasibility and search time depend on how many are missing, whether their positions are known and whether a known address can confirm the result. Incomplete recovery phrase
Forgotten Phantom password
The password unlocks Phantom only in the browser where you set it, and Phantom cannot recover it for you. With the recovery phrase, or the original Google or Apple account and its PIN if one was set, you reset the extension and restore. Without them, do not reset: "Reset & wipe app" removes all wallet data from the device. Keep that installation untouched; its encrypted data is then the only material left, and the assessment checks whether a search for a partly remembered password is feasible. How to recover a Phantom wallet
Zero balance or missing accounts after a restore
Importing a phrase brings back the accounts that had onchain activity; accounts with no balance or history may need to be added by hand. A phrase created in another wallet app may derive its accounts along a different path, so Phantom may not show them at all. Before anyone concludes the funds are gone, we run a systematic account and derivation-path scan against an address you know. Zero balance after a restore
Recovery phrase words in the wrong order
Every word can be right and Phantom still rejects the phrase, because the order is wrong. A reordered phrase that happens to pass the checksum opens different accounts, so a successful import is not proof either. We test plausible orders offline and confirm the result against an address you know. Recovery phrase in the wrong order
Old recovery phrase you cannot confirm
A phrase written down years ago may hold a misread word, a skipped word or words from a different wallet. Before you rely on it, we check what the phrase derives against a public address you know. If they do not match, the likely errors are tested systematically instead of guessed at. One wrong word in a recovery phrase
Imported key or Ledger accounts missing
The recovery phrase restores only the accounts derived from it. An imported private key gives access to a single address on one network and has to be imported again from its own backup. Accounts from a connected Ledger were never held by Phantom: reconnect the device, or restore them from the Ledger's own recovery phrase. The assessment starts by establishing which backup each missing account came from. Ledger wallet recovery

Mistakes to avoid
- Don't click "Forgot password" or "Reset & wipe app" until you know which credentials restore every account. A reset removes all wallet data from that device.
- Don't uninstall the extension, delete the app or clear browser data while that installation may hold the only working copy of your wallet.
- Don't keep guessing the PIN of a Google or Apple wallet. After seven wrong attempts, the encrypted backup on that device is deleted.
- Never enter your recovery phrase into a website or app that offers to "check", "validate" or "sync" it.
- Ignore "Phantom support" messages you did not ask for. Phantom support never messages first and never asks for your recovery phrase or private key. Warning signs of crypto scams
- Never share your full recovery phrase with anyone, including us, to get an assessment.
Information that helps the assessment
- How the wallet was created: a recovery phrase, Google or Apple sign-in, an imported private key or a connected Ledger.
- Whether Phantom still opens anywhere, such as a browser profile or a phone where you are still signed in.
- What remains of the recovery phrase: how many words, and which positions are missing or uncertain. Describe it; don't send the words.
- A public address that you know received funds, for example from an exchange withdrawal record or a block explorer.
- Any other wallet app that may have used the same phrase.
- What happened, and what you have already tried.
Boundaries
What we do not do
Theft, scams or a wrong address
A confirmed blockchain transaction cannot be reversed, cancelled or redirected, by us or by anyone.
A completely lost recovery phrase
With no phrase, wallet file, device, backup or partial information left, there is nothing to reconstruct from.
Guaranteed outcomes
No honest service can guarantee success. Whether recovery is possible depends on what you still have, and the assessment tells you before you commit.
We tell you honestly what is realistic before you commit — including when the answer is no.
How it works
A clear process from first contact to handover.
Tell us what happened
Share the wallet or software name, approximate year, device, problem and what material still exists. Do not send a seed phrase, private key, password, wallet file or ID document.
Initial feasibility view
Once we have enough information, we usually explain the likely recovery route, the main uncertainties and an initial indication of duration.
Verify and agree
We verify identity and ownership or legal authority. Scope, working method, fee and sensitive-material handling are agreed in writing before sensitive work begins.
Transfer or hand over material
PGP, our secure encrypted upload environment, in-person handover or agreed shipment may be used. We request only what is needed and work with copies where possible.
Technical recovery
We test the agreed recovery route in a controlled environment. You receive meaningful updates when findings affect the outlook, scope or next decision.
Client-controlled handover
Access is handed back through the agreed route. You open the wallet and move the assets to a wallet you control; case material is then handled according to the agreement and privacy policy.
Trust
A real company with a verifiable process.
Registered & named
Registered in the Netherlands (KvK 75927276) with a named team and a physical office in Amsterdam.
A written agreement first
Scope, fee and security measures are agreed in writing before any work. If you prefer, we can sign an NDA before you share substantive case details.
Always non-custodial
We restore access; you move the coins yourself. We never hold, manage or transfer your assets.
Ownership is verified
Identity, ownership and legal authority are verified with risk-based KYC/AML checks.
Good to know about Phantom recovery
- Password, biometrics and PIN. The browser password, or Face ID or a fingerprint on mobile, only unlocks the local installation and cannot restore the wallet anywhere else. The four-digit PIN is different: it belongs to wallets created with Google or Apple and, together with that account, restores them.
- Google or Apple wallets. Restore with the same account you created the wallet with; signing in with the other provider opens a different, empty wallet. Only the first account returns automatically, so add the others again.
- A device that still opens. If Phantom still opens on any device, show the recovery phrase under Settings > Security & Privacy > Show Recovery Phrase and write it down before you change anything else.
- The checksum is a filter, not proof. The last word of a BIP-39 phrase includes a checksum that rejects most wrong combinations, but not all: roughly one in 16 wrong 12-word variants still passes and opens a different wallet. Every candidate is therefore confirmed against a known address.
- Phrases stored online. A phrase found in an email, a cloud note or a screenshot counts as exposed. Once you are back in, move the funds yourself to a new wallet with a fresh phrase.
Phantom wallet recovery FAQ
Can you recover a Phantom wallet without the recovery phrase?
Sometimes. The route depends on how the wallet was created and which credentials or devices remain available: the original Google or Apple account and PIN, a device where Phantom still opens, or the backup of an imported key. With no credentials, no backup and no surviving wallet data, there is nothing to examine, and a fully unknown phrase with no clues is an effectively unlimited search.
Can Phantom support reset my password or send me my recovery phrase?
No. The password only unlocks Phantom in one browser, and a reset means restoring with your original credentials. Phantom does not store your recovery phrase and cannot recover it, your PIN or your private keys for you. Its support never asks for your phrase, so a "support agent" who offers to retrieve it is running a scam.
I forgot the PIN of my Google or Apple Phantom wallet. What now?
If Phantom is still signed in on any device, reset the PIN there under Settings > Security & Privacy > Reset PIN, then export the recovery phrase. If you exported the phrase earlier, import it instead. If you are logged out everywhere and have no exported phrase, Phantom states there is no way to restore access, and no outside service can change that.
How much does crypto wallet recovery cost?
It depends on the wallet's value and how complex the case is: our success fee runs from 20% of the recovered amount down to 2%. The exact rate is agreed in writing before any work starts — no hidden costs and no hourly rates.
Do you take custody of the assets at any point?
No. We restore access; you open the wallet and move the funds yourself. We cannot initiate a transaction on your behalf.
Do I need to send my seed phrase or password?
No — first contact needs no sensitive material, and we never ask for it through forms or chat. Under a written agreement we can work with copies of wallet files in a controlled environment, so your keys stay under your control.
What if my wallet was stolen or I was scammed?
We do not take stolen-crypto or scam cases, and blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. That is a police and legal matter.
