If you forgot your Ledger PIN, don’t try to guess it: doing so could wipe your device to factory settings. You only have three tries before the device erases all data. What Happens When You Forgot Ledger PIN
The Ledger PIN is designed to protect your device locally. It ensures no one can access it without your permission. A Ledger PIN is 4 to 8 digits long. It contains numbers only and no letters or symbols.
The bad news: you will nit be able to recover it if you lose it. After three unsuccessful attempts, the device wipes itself and deletes all private keys. - Get a new Ledger device.
- Choose the option “Restore from recovery phrase.”
- Enter the 24 words exactly as you received them, without typos.
- Set a new PIN.
