Blockchain Wallet Recovery Service
Locked out of your Blockchain.com wallet? We have been recovering wallets since 2019: forgotten wallet passwords, forgotten second passwords, invalid recovery phrases, and encrypted wallet.aes.json backups. Older Blockchain.info wallets included.
What most people ask first
Can Blockchain.com reset my wallet password?
No, and neither can we ask them to. A non-custodial wallet is encrypted with your password only. Recovery works from your own material: a wallet backup, recovery phrase or private keys.
Do you take custody of my funds?
No. You transfer your assets yourself to a new wallet that you create. We never take custody of them at any point. You pay the fee separately at handover.
What is the second password?
An optional extra password that older Blockchain.info and Blockchain.com wallets used to decrypt the private keys. If your main password works but the funds stay locked, this is usually why. It can be searched offline against your wallet.aes.json backup.
What does it cost?
The assessment is free. After that we work on a no recovery, no fee basis: our standard fee is 20% of the recovered amount, with a lower percentage for high-value wallets. You pay only if the recovery succeeds.
Our Blockchain Wallet Recovery Services
Forgotten Blockchain.com Wallet Password
Forgotten the password to a non-custodial Blockchain.com Wallet or an older Blockchain.info wallet? Where usable encrypted wallet data remains available, we assess whether the password can be recovered through targeted candidate generation and systematic testing. Blockchain.com cannot reset the password for an existing non-custodial wallet.
Forgotten Second Wallet Password
Some older Blockchain.info and Blockchain.com wallets used an optional second password to fully decrypt the wallet and protect access to the private keys. If the main wallet password works but the funds remain inaccessible, we assess whether this second password can be recovered.
Imported Bitcoin Address Recovery
Bitcoin addresses that were imported separately into a Blockchain.com wallet are not restored by its recovery phrase. If funds are missing after restoring the wallet, we assess whether the original encrypted wallet backup, legacy wallet data or a remaining private-key backup provides a viable recovery route.
Legacy Blockchain.info Recovery Phrase
Some non-custodial Blockchain.info wallets created before 2016 used a legacy recovery phrase containing fewer or more than 12 words. Rather than functioning like a modern seed phrase, it may reveal the wallet password from the time the phrase was created. We assess incomplete, incorrect or partially known legacy phrases and determine the appropriate recovery method. If the password was later changed, the password revealed by the phrase may no longer unlock the wallet.
Encrypted Wallet Backup Recovery
If an encrypted wallet.aes.json file or another Blockchain.info or Blockchain.com wallet backup remains available but the password is unknown, we assess whether the wallet can be decrypted through targeted candidate generation and systematic brute-force testing. The backup must contain usable encrypted wallet data, and the correct password is still required to decrypt it.
Invalid or Incomplete Recovery Phrase
If a recovery phrase contains missing, incorrect or misspelled words, has an uncertain word order, or is rejected as invalid, we assess whether enough reliable information remains to reconstruct it. Current Blockchain.com DeFi Wallets use a 12-word recovery phrase. BIP39 phrases can contain 12, 15, 18, 21 or 24 words, although other lengths may relate to an imported wallet or another wallet setup. Older Blockchain.info wallets may also use a separate legacy recovery phrase containing fewer or more than 12 words.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Don’t keep retrying passwords in the Blockchain.com login form. Lockouts only slow things down, and the real search runs offline against your backup file.
- Don’t enter a partial or uncertain recovery phrase into any online tool.
- Don’t download ‘recovery’ software from search results, ads, or DMs. Blockchain.com will never ask you for your password or phrase.
- Don’t delete old email. Your Wallet ID and backup files are often still in there.
Information that may be needed for recovery
- Your Wallet ID and the email address the wallet was registered with.
- An encrypted wallet backup (wallet.aes.json) if one still exists.
- Whatever you remember about the password: length, structure, words or patterns you used at the time.
- Whether a second password was ever set.
- Any remains of a recovery phrase, including a legacy Blockchain.info phrase.
You always stay in control of your funds. You move them yourself and we never take custody of your assets.
What we don’t recover
- Stolen funds. Blockchain transactions are irreversible once crypto leaves your wallet.
- Scam & fraud recovery. We don’t chase funds sent to scammers.
- A wallet with no backup, no recovery phrase and no private keys. There has to be encrypted wallet data to work from.
- Custodial account balances. If the funds sit in an account Blockchain.com controls, that is a support and identity-verification matter, not a recovery one.
- Transactions sent to the wrong address.
If it’s a lost-access problem rather than a theft problem, we can likely help.

Blockchain Wallet Recovery FAQs
I forgot my password for my Blockchain wallet. Can you recover it?
If you’ve forgotten your password, as long as you have your recovery phrase, you can still recover your wallet. We’ll guide you through the process of resetting your password.
My recovery phrase is lost. Can I still access my Blockchain wallet?
If you still have access to your original email address that you’ve used for the wallet, most likely yes. But, without access and without the 12-word recovery phrase, unfortunately, recovery isn’t possible. This phrase is the only way to restore access to your wallet.
Can you also recover an old blockchain.info wallet?
Yes, if you still have the right material. Old blockchain.info wallets are recovered from the recovery phrase or the original private keys. If you can still log in with your main password but are stuck on the second password, there’s another route: download your wallet.aes.json backup file using your Wallet ID and main password, and the second password can be searched against that file offline. Blockchain.com itself can’t reset either password, so the file is what the work runs on.
